Part of the short movie Joke Dealer, made entirely in Unreal Engine 5.5 with volumetric fog and Fab props. The scene uses a Metahuman with the scanned face of the film's main actor — a likeness animated shot-by-shot inside Sequencer.
I was responsible for every aspect of the animation, including cameras and lights. No external compositing — final delivery comes straight out of Movie Render Queue.
Camera blocking, animation tracks, light keyframes and post-process volumes are all authored on the same timeline — easy to iterate, easy to render at any quality.
Real-time global illumination keeps the lighting reading close to final at every step. Volumetric fog gives the scene its depth and the soft falloff that sells the room.
